Description
The Duwancho station, located in the Sidama region of Ethiopia, is one of the highest in the country. This altitude, combined with the local climate, allows the coffee cherries to develop a high sugar content, resulting in a smooth cup with a rich, complex flavor. Founded in 2019 by small local producers, the cooperative (named after a shrub native to the region) modernized its equipment in 2021 with new drying beds. These efforts have significantly improved the quality of their coffee, allowing them to win awards in competitions and access the international market. This honey tea offers a smooth and very fragrant cup. It features floral notes of jasmine, the freshness of citrus, the fruitiness of apricot, and a lovely sweetness reminiscent of panela.
