Sometimes I drink a coffee like this and I think to myself “what must it be like to be so exceptional?” Is there something magnificent about being the best of the best? Sitting atop the mountain, knowing you have ascended? Or is it lonely at the top? Hardly a peer in sight; a spectacle for the world to gaze upon, to aspire to, to judge, to want to see fail. Me, I can’t even handle the pressure of thinking about being exceptional. Not for me. My dad can vouch for that. What I do know is that this coffee is indeed exceptional. That it meets those expectations, and delivers every time. Everything I’ll never be, this coffee is. Time to call my therapist on her personal cell phone again.
