Description

Josh’s notes:This coffee is clearly in a higher league with how clean and gentle it is. I actually think Glitch was a bit off-base with their original notes on this one lol. But, that might just be a sign that this coffee is incredibly complex, like a tasting Rorschach. So many flavors going on in this one across the entire temperature spectrum. At the forefront to me is sweet raspberry teas (think Brisk or Arizona). Imagine if you gave Arizona an unlimited budget. Imagine if Arizona wasn't such a great company keeping their drinks at 99 cents. What would they come up with? I think it would taste like this.Glitch’s notes:Tamiru Tadesse, the winner of 1st and 5th place in the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, is the owner of ALO COFFEE and one of Ethiopia’s top young coffee producers. Now, he has crafted a special coffee exclusively for GLITCH.Born in the heart of Ethiopia’s coffee-producing regions, Tamiru grew up helping coffee farmers, even before he was born into the industry himself. When he founded ALO COFFEE in 2020, he took an unprecedented risk by cultivating coffee at an estimated altitude of over 2,400m. In 2021, that risk paid off when his Anaerobic Process coffee, grown and processed at an astonishing 2,450m, won the Cup of Excellence. Due to the extreme altitude, the coffee beans are smaller than standard screen sizes, but their intense and distinct flavors, shaped by the altitude and terroir, have captivated coffee enthusiasts worldwide. This lot has been processed using the Honey Anaerobic method. The coffee cherries first undergo anaerobic fermentation before being pulped. After pulping, they are immersed in warm water and then dried with the mucilage intact. This meticulous process enhances its juicy Orange Tea and Red Grape-like flavors, complemented by a rich Brown Sugar sweetness.Roasted light and spectacularly by our friends at Glitch Coffee and Roasters in Tokyo, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen. I recommend enjoying this coffee right away.
