Description
Finca Lérida is one of Panama’s most historic and influential coffee estates, located in the cloud forests of Boquete on the slopes of Volcán Barú. Founded in the early 1900s by Norwegian engineer Toleff Bache Mönniche, the farm played a major role in establishing Panama’s reputation for producing exceptional specialty coffee. Grown between 1,500 to 2,000 meters above sea level in rich volcanic soil, Finca Lérida benefits from cool mountain temperatures, dense cloud cover, and a unique microclimate that allows coffee cherries to mature slowly and develop remarkable complexity in the cup. The estate is renowned for producing elegant and expressive coffees including Geisha, Catuai, Pacamara, and Typica varieties. Their coffees are known for vibrant florals, citrus acidity, delicate sweetness, and refined structure - characteristics that have helped define modern Panamanian specialty coffee.
