Description
A light and effervescent cup which starts out with mixed yellow fruits and a bit of melon, peach and iris comes out with more extraction, and hints of spice notes round out the finish. Will it Spro? Too young to test, but I expect sweet balanced Turbos.Recommended Minimum Rest: 2 weeksRoast Color: 132.4 (higher is lighter)Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai varietals grown by the 276 indigenous women of the "Mujeres luchando por un mejor futuro," or "Women fighting for a better future" collective. The finish has a slight florals note to it that I associate with orange blossom. This one was very easy to dial. First batch brew hit well and that’s what I stuck with. Through the bag the base came out a bit more on the chocolate side. Overall nice batch coffee especially if you’ve been are getting burned out by more intense or highly processed beans. In a region where many men have left for work in the U.S., these women have stepped up to lead both at home and on the farm.Over the last decade, they’ve built a grassroots farming association focused on economic empowerment, education, and environmental sustainability. With support from export partner K-Finos and outside collaborators, the group now benefits from expert agronomy consultation, varietal and soil health training, and continuing education in coffee processing.Their achievements include earning organic certification, establishing a community fund to support each other’s projects, and expanding into agricultural diversification with crops like tomatoes, beans, and corn. Through shared knowledge, mutual support, and a commitment to excellence, these women are building a better future—one harvest at a time. This coffee is the product of their dedication: honest, grounded, and full of character.
