Description
This special coffee delights us with its watermelon sweetness and its intense, lovely mouthfeel. As it cools, a fine acidity of starfruit and white currant emerges, perfectly rounding off the flavor. For this coffee, only the ripest coffee cherries are hand-picked and fermented for 14 days in special tanks under strict supervision. This fermentation gives the coffee a particularly intense aroma. The beans are then dried on drying beds for 20 to 25 days. After that, the dry shell is mechanically separated from the core. At the "BOP" (Best of Panama, 2020), this lot even achieved 4th place with the same processing. The picturesque Finca Lérida is located in Alto Quiel, Boquete, directly neighboring the world-renowned Lamastus Elida Estate. The farm and its associated coffee plantations also benefit from the unique microclimate around the Boquete region and produce excellent lots that have repeatedly won awards at the BOP in recent years. Finca Lérida was the first coffee plantation in Panama to export coffee to Germany in 1925. We are very pleased with this direct connection to the Amoruso family's farm and are always impressed by the great attention to detail and the very good conditions for all employees on the farm.
