DAK Coffee Roasters is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands From DAK Hazel Nuts is a natural Catuaí from Chinacla in the Marcala region of Honduras, grown by our longtime partners Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera. We’ve been buying their coffees for years, and this is one we particularly like for espresso. Round and silky, with hazelnut, cacao nibs and blackberry, plus a touch of booziness that we really enjoy. Especially good with milk. We’ve worked with Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera for years, and Hazel Nuts shows a very different side of their coffees. Producing a clean natural in Chinacla isn’t straightforward: the climate is humid and rain often falls during the drying period. Moises dries the cherries on covered raised beds for 20 to 40 days, depending on the weather, protecting them throughout the long drying period. The result is round, sweet and low in acidity, with hazelnut, cacao nibs and blackberry.
