Their coffees are among the most highly anticipated we received every year. This year in particular, their farms experienced a natural, yet notable decline in cherry production due to uncontrollable occurrences. The amount of coffee available was thus much more scarce, and that makes this an even more special opportunity for us to work with these beautiful coffees from the Summer 2026 harvest.   Mejorado is Thankfully Coffee's explicitly most prized coffee variety. It presents lovely florality and citrus/stone fruits because of it's Ethiopian genetics. It also presents immense sweetness due to it's Bourbon lineage. It is, as we like to assert, the pinnacle variety. We have been on a mission for years now to present this variety to the world.   This season's Putushio lot is elegant, refined, complex and aromatic. We find an orange blossom florality coming out front in the sip, and washing over the palate from front to back. The fruit centers on a golden-like pear orchard fruit (golden pear may or may not really exist, but that is precisely what the flavor note is haha), and in classic Mejorado fashion, the sip finishes with a silky and lingering dulce de leche finish. What more could we have hoped for?? Our first 2026 Mejorado of the season is a tride and true must grab.
