Habtamu Danche Espresso

Roasted just a touch darker than our filter version, this espresso roast makes fantastic straight shots and Americanos. This is the year of Habtamu! We roasted this gorgeous washed Ethiopian for our monthly subscribers in July, and now it's available for everyone. Ethiopia is having a banner year, and Habtamu is knocking it out of the park. We're loving this coffee's big, ripe apricot coupled with a touch of pineapple and jasmine-like florals.  Habtamu Fikadu Aga is the producer and exporter of this lot, which comes from Danche in southern Ethiopia. Kuri Mountain Coffee (the company name) was founded in 2015 and started back in 1945 as a family business. Coffee cherry comes to the mill from many farms in the region, spanning hundreds of hectares. The ripe cherry was sorted, pulped, fermented, washed, and dried on raised beds.
