Working with peripheral smallholder farmers through Semilla is how we change the coffee status quo. Involved in the coffee production with his family for many years, it's in 2023 that he began his solo journey as a producer by buying some land from his father. As a third generation farmer, he is dedicated to produce quality coffee within his community in the hopes of inspiring other smallholders like him who don't have access to the specialty market. Albert truly believes that by focusing on quality, famers from his small region could reach millions of happy consumers. On a more personal level, he hope that his farm, La Fortuna, can gain international recognition so he can create jobs for his community. He plans to invest his income into expanding his farm, establishing his own processing plant, and cultivating better coffee varieties; he finds motivation in his journey.
