Angel Mountain - El Salvador

Tasting Notes: Chocolate, Graham, Citrus. Fresh Crop 2025 - This is the eighth year we have carried this beautiful El Sal.  Fully washed, this is a clean creamy mouthfeel, balanced cup.  Great for espresso as well as filter.  The coffee is extremely high quality, with nutrients absorbed from the fresh waters that run down the side of the mountain into the Comasagua River.  The fruity and floral characteristics of the balsam trees are show in the flavor of the coffee providing its velvety character, unique to anywhere in the world. In 2023 and 2024 Angel "Tito" has had some debilitating issues with Roya (leaf rust).  His harvest yields are down significantly, but the fruit that was harvested is just as beautiful as we remember.  We will continue to support his efforts and we are hopeful that with some new plant replacements, he will be back on his way to sizeable volumes.  As such, this new harvest will have limited availability.  Origin: El Salvador Region: Cordillera del Balsamo, La Libertad Farm: Angel Mountain Variety: Bourbon Altitude: 1400-1800 MASL Processing: Fully washed
