Description
- omni roast profile - La Esperanza Rigoberto Herrera Geisha - Classic Washed Colombia We are incredibly excited to bring back a Geisha from Café Granja La Esperanza (CGLE) for the first time in two years! While CGLE is globally renowned for their innovative, process-heavy coffees, we were absolutely captivated by this exceptionally clean, fully washed lot from their La Esperanza farm. This coffee represents everything we love about a classic, terroir-driven Washed Geisha. Typically, high-grown Geishas tend to lean toward heavy, intense floral notes like lavender. However, this lot delivers a wonderfully clean and dazzlingly vibrant jasmine profile—a rare and refreshed expression among recent washed Geishas that strongly recalls the stunningly bright Volcan Geishas from Panama a few years ago. Driven by an exceptionally high intensity of jasmine ("very jasmine"), bright notes of fresh lemon lead into a beautifully perfumed, passionfruit-like sweetness that lingers endlessly on the palate. It is a brilliant showcase of pristine processing, structural balance, and pure genetic potential. Our tasting notes: soft lemon, (very) jasmine, passionfruit Area: Valle Del Cauca, Colombia Altitude: 1760masl Varietal: Geisha Process: classic washed Recommended ratio: 1:18-19
