Despite the region being hit hard by years of civil conflict, they have been an important partner for Devoción, consistently producing excellent coffees for the past 8 years. When asked what makes her coffee special, Nelly credits the farm workers, whom she oversees on their 8 hectare farm. By paying them above average to ensure only the ripest cherries are picked, the investment in her staff produces a high return by yielding only the highest quality coffees she can sell for a premium.
