Mata Abadia was one of the winning farms in the regional Brazilian competition we had the honour of attending last harvest. It's located in Mantiquera, right on the outskirts of the Sul de Minas mountain range, where the slightly more elevated geography lends itself to a surprisingly fruity cup for a Brazilian natural. This coffee is one of our favourite 'daily drinkers': Sweetness, high body, with chocolate and cherry. It's both comforting and elevated – the perfect treat to start your day or energise your afternoon. Mantiqueira is currently one of the most awarded coffee regions of Brazil. It's been recognised both for its long coffee heritage as well as its reputation for producing specialty coffees with a highly differentiated sensory profile. Unlike many other regions of Brazil, coffee cherries in Mantiqueira are mainly hand-picked, allowing for better quality control.
