Tasting notes: Candied Orange, Floral, Bergamot, Chocolate, Spicy Kaffeelix Eli Espinoza is a washed Geisha from Las Pirias in Chirinos, Peru, grown at 1,800–2,000 MASL. Eli Espinoza came to Chirinos as a teenager to pick coffee and later bought his own land; today his four hectares include a small Geisha planting. After harvest, the cherries ferment in plastic bags in the shade for 24 hours, then the coffee is floated, pulped, held in tanks for 24–36 hours, and dried on raised beds for 10–14 days. The filter roast highlights candied orange, bergamot, florals, chocolate and spice in a silky cup.
