Description
Los Placeres is a 169-hectare specialty coffee farm owned by the renowned Fincas Mierisch family, nestled amidst the volcanic hills of Yasica Sur in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. As the family’s only Rainforest Alliance-certified farm, Los Placeres dedicates 28 hectares to preserving natural rainforest, protecting biodiversity, and safeguarding vital water resources. Beyond cultivating Ethiosar coffee beans prized for their captivating notes, Los Placeres stands as a testament to human values and sustainable development. The farm prioritizes the well-being of its workforce, over 70% of whom are women by providing fair compensation, healthcare, education, and free childcare during the harvest season, thereby creating a farming model that achieves perfect harmony between people and nature. » More information about Los Placeres – Fincas Mierisch Los Placeres Ethiosar vividly reflects the regional character of Yasica Sur, where Fincas Mierisch cultivates the Ethiosar variety with meticulous care, allowing every cup to tell a clear story of its origin and terroir. » Information about Los Placeres Ethiosar » Understanding coffee information tags – Coffee wants to rest in a cool place away from sunlight and sealed bags; – Our coffee reaches its peak flavor 04 weeks after roasting for beans that are not packaged and are served directly at our store chain. For packaged coffee intended for distribution, we apply flavor-locking technology. As a natural result, it may take 8 – 12 weeks, or even up to 16 weeks after roasting, for the coffee to reach its peak flavor ( Please note that the resting time required to reach peak flavor is directly proportional to the amount of time the coffee remains sealed in flavor-locking packaging. The longer the coffee stays in an airtight bag, the longer it will take to degas and reach its optimal peak ). – Our coffee maintains its aroma spectrum within 06 months of opening the bag, and the quality gradually decreases; – Our coffee is packed with flavor-locking technology, so it can be preserved for 02 years from the date of production when unopened. We also recommend not using it when first opening the bag. Please open and close the bag for another 03 days to fully release the flavor-locking encapsulation technology; – Our coffee will clearly show the flavor description after 03 days from when you open and close the bag for the first time.
