Mexico Yellow Caturra Natural 140hr IMPERIAL JADE Lot 41

Description

Harvested in EARLY 2026, LOT 41 is a Yellow Caturra lot grown at La Joya between 1,350–1,450 meters. Gloria Hernández and Samuel Ronzón fermented the cherries for 140 hours in GP bags using their Jade Imperial approach, then dried them for 20 days on raised African beds inside a forced-ventilation tunnel. After drying, the coffee was given a 90-day stabilization period, completing a carefully controlled natural process designed around the character of La Joya’s Yellow Caturra. What makes La Joya especially meaningful to us is the relationship behind the coffee. Year after year, we have committed to purchasing nearly all of Samuel and La Joya’s available lots, allowing us to follow their work as the farm continues to evolve. Their focus on research, rare varieties, controlled processing, and long-term quality aligns closely with how we approach coffee at Luminous. Our goal is to continue growing alongside La Joya, supporting their experiments and future harvests for many years to come.
