Prior to the establishment of the Copa de Oro, our import partners at Osito hosted a smaller regional cupping competition called the Copa Suaceña. This event celebrated the most skilled producers in the municipality of Suaza in central Huila, many of whom were among the earliest contributors to our Divino Niño Foundational offering. Since his first award-winning entry in the inaugural Copa Suaceña in 2019, Jorge Elias Hernandez has maintained his position as one of the finest producers in central Huila. He demonstrated this once again with this washed gesha entry, which earned him 4th place in the central region at the Copa de Oro last fall. A distinct and elevated expression of the Suaza terroir, we taste rich cocoa, an array of sweet cooked fruits, as well as citrus and mild marzipan in the finish.
