For more than 40 years, Achi’s family has grown coffee in the high mountains of Pangkhon, Chiang Rai. Today, Achi carries that legacy forward as a second generation Akha coffee producer, building on what his parents started while bringing his own focus to quality and the way each coffee is produced. His 6.4 hectare farm sits around 1380 masl, surrounded by the mountainous landscape of northern Thailand. Here, coffee farming has been part of the family for generations. Achi continues to work closely with the land, focusing on selective harvesting and paying careful attention to processing and drying to bring out the best expression of each harvest. This lot is a natural processed Bourbon, grown and processed by Achi on the family farm. It reflects the direction he is taking with the farm today: keeping the foundation and knowledge passed down by his parents, while continuing to refine the details that can improve quality year after year. In 2026, this coffee scored 87.13 points and placed 7th in Chiang Rai, an encouraging result for both Achi and the next chapter of the farm. More than four decades after his parents first began growing coffee, Achi is continuing what they started while slowly making it his own. It is a story of one generation passing its knowledge to the next, and of a family farm that continues to learn, improve and grow with every harvest.
