Tasting notes: Red Apple, Soft Caramel, Pomegranate El Tempixque is a washed coffee from Guatemala’s Antigua Valley, produced by the Falla family, who have been growing coffee in the region since 1890. Now led by fourth-generation producer Estuardo Falla, the farm focuses primarily on Bourbon and Caturra, with careful attention to maintaining the distinctive character of Antigua coffee while continually improving quality and consistency. This coffee offers a balanced and approachable cup, with soft caramel sweetness, ripe red apple acidity, and a touch of pomegranate. A smooth, pleasant aftertaste brings the cup together, making El Tempixque a refined expression of Guatemala’s classic coffee profile.
