Tasting notes: Citrus, Honey, Chocolate The Original is Black & White Roasters’ tribute to the origins of coffee, celebrating Ethiopia as the birthplace of Coffea arabica. This year-round coffee is built around Aricha Washed, grown at an elevation of 1,900–2,200 masl. Although classified as a medium-dark roast, it is roasted lighter than Black & White’s other year-round coffees to preserve the delicate character of the Ethiopian coffee. The cup offers a refined combination of citrus, honey, and chocolate, complemented by delicate floral notes, light and balanced acidity, and a tea-like body. Clean and elegant, The Original highlights the nuanced qualities of washed Ethiopian coffee while remaining approachable and versatile.
