Varietal: Geisha Process: Washed Producers: Marysabel Cabellero & Moises Herrera Notes: White Stone Fruit, Lemongrass, Florals About the coffee: Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera happened to walk into Moxie a few years ago while we were serving their coffee from their main farm, El Puente. She didn’t know we’d purchased that coffee spot from an importer in Europe, and was delighted to taste her coffee in a new cafe. From there, we chatted and a meaningful relationship blossomed. Since her son lives in the Phoenix area, we get to enjoy a coffee with them 1-2x a year in the cafe. What jumped off the table about this coffee was the uniqueness of the florals. At 1930 masl and with pristine fermentation and processing, this is as clean as they come. Up front, we taste delicate white stone fruit notes and as the cup begins to cool, the lemongrass comes out. When approaching room temperature the cup gets intensely floral. Throughout the entire experience, we find this coffee to be structured, sweet, and balanced.
