Vinxo Decaf is a delightful Guatemalan coffee produced by Finca Quequezques in the highlands of San Juan Sacatepéquez. This coffee draws much of its character from the region’s volcanic soil and favorable climate. The cup challenges expectations of a typical decaf, offering a refined edge. It strikes a harmonious balance of fruit-forward notes and cacao, with a beautiful underlying sweetness that lingers pleasantly. In our blind cupping, it shined—outperforming other caffeinated coffees. We couldn’t believe it was decaf! ABOUT FINCA QUEQUEZQUES Finca Quequezques, located in the highlands of San Juan Sacatepéquez, is a family-run coffee farm operated by the Delgados for generations. Once a pine forest, it's now a sustainable, integrated farm and mill that maintains full control over quality. The name “Quequezques” comes from a native plant found in the region, symbolizing a deep connection to the land’s volcanic soil and favorable climate. The farm uses agroforestry methods to grow heirloom coffee varieties under native shade trees, improving resilience to climate change and enriching soil. This harmony with nature enhances both the reliability and flavor of the coffee, which features notes of orange, cooked apple, chocolate, and brown sugar.
