In a region where many men have left for work in the U.S., these women have stepped up to lead both at home and on the farm.Over the last decade, they’ve built a grassroots farming association focused on economic empowerment, education, and environmental sustainability. With support from export partner K-Finos and outside collaborators, the group now benefits from expert agronomy consultation, varietal and soil health training, and continuing education in coffee processing.Their achievements include earning organic certification, establishing a community fund to support each other’s projects, and expanding into agricultural diversification with crops like tomatoes, beans, and corn. Through shared knowledge, mutual support, and a commitment to excellence, these women are building a better future—one harvest at a time. This coffee is the product of their dedication: honest, grounded, and full of character.
