Colombian Excelso | Ultra Dark Roast  CUP: Caramel, Toffee & Honey We’re bringing back the classic extra-dark roast. For this coffee, we chose Colombian Excelso. Its consistently screened bean size helps support an even roast, and this lot gave us exactly the foundation we wanted to take things deeper. And we mean deep. On our roast colour scale, this Colombian sits 9 points darker than our DARK SUBSTANCE BLENDS. We roast it this far deliberately to soften the acidity and bring caramel, toffee and honey sweetness to the forefront, alongside a bold, full-bodied finish. It pairs beautifully with milk, bringing those rich, sweet notes into a smooth, comforting cup. And if you’re anything like me and enjoy half a spoonful of white sugar in your espresso, this Colombian is an excellent choice. That little bit of sugar balances the bitterness and gives the shot a lovely syrupy feel. It’s how I like mine. Classic extra-dark coffee, brought back with intention. Enjoy it with milk, or pull a shot and reach for the sugar.
