Located in the high‑elevation Arbegona district—reaching roughly 2,200 meters above sea level—the Rumudamo station works with more than 600 smallholder farmers who cultivate a mix of local heirloom varieties and JARC selections such as 74112. The site has become especially well‑known for its exceptional cup quality, earning multiple top placements in the 2020 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, including 2nd, 3rd, and 8th place. Since its beginnings in 1996, Daye Bensa has expanded to dozens of washing stations and dry mills while investing heavily in farmer support, second payments, and community projects like schools throughout the Sidama region. Rumudamo stands as a reflection of that long‑term commitment to quality, traceability, and community‑driven coffee production.
