Decaf Organic Fairtrade (decaffeinated)

Description

Cup profile: walnut, pecan, dark chocolate, cocoa, brittle, stone fruit Key facts: omni roast Variety: mixed varieties carbonic natural CO2 process About the coffee: This variety mix from Peru has had its caffeine removed, but not its taste! This works with the help of liquid, natural CO2, which is pumped through the coffee in large tanks (well, they are huge) and dissolves the caffeine from the beans. However, the CO2 does not dissolve all the other components, which remain in the coffee. If this sounds a little too abstract for you, we recommend James Hoffmann's Youtube channel once again: He visited the plant where our coffee was decaffeinated and made a super interesting video. Another lesson learned! :)
