Proudly placed 3rd for best milk pairing in the National Golden Bean Competition 2024 out of 200 entrants! This is a Dark Roast done right. We added this roast level to our line up of regular coffees to highlight the complex beauty that comes from coffee grown in volcanic soil. The "Legacy" of a dark roast is ingrained in American coffee drinking culture and we wanted to contribute to that Tradition while also paying tribute to Hawai`i's rich volcanic geography.  When coffee is grown on volcanic slopes, it creates good drainage and run off, which coffee trees prefer. A Dark Roast should NOT taste burnt, hollow or ashy, instead you will find a beautiful, balanced minerality, earthy and hearty notes in this brew, creating an optimal dark roast.
