This blend is our unique take on the classic dark roast. Traditionally, roasting coffee dark was used as a way to mask defects and low-grade coffee by roasting it excessively dark to create a burnt flavor profile, covering any nuance of individual coffees. That is not this dark roast. The Outlier is an intentionally curated blend of two seasonally fresh coffees sourced directly from individual farms that we partner with. This blend contains highly graded coffees that shine in a darker roast profile. We roast this coffee to bring out the intrinsic rich chocolatey notes, giving you that nostalgic dark roast flavor, in a cleaner, flavorful, and more approachable cup.
