When you think of decaf coffee, the word “versatility” doesn’t often come to mind. Sunset Sipper has always been about pushing the boundaries of what a decaf can be, so much so that it’s become a staple in our own pantries. Our new crop comes from Sebastián Ramírez and his dedicated team at El Placer. This marks the third coffee from Ramírez to join our menu. While his work most often appears in our Limited Series, we were especially impressed by his commitment not only to mastering rare and experimental microlots, but also to expanding his offerings with a thoughtfully produced decaf designed for a more approachable audience. This sugarcane (EA) process decaf is sweet, layered, and exceptionally clean. We’re excited to share a decaf sourced from a new corner of the Southern Hemisphere. Sunset Sipper is the little party trick you bring out after dinner. A wildcard that surprises with notes of baker’s chocolate, orange, and cane sugar. This coffee shines as a filter brew and, for those with the skills, transforms into a truly mind-blowing espresso.
