Equator Blend

Description

The all-time classic served at all Equator cafes. We designed our namesake blend with versatility in mind: a mellow and complex coffee that brings together the world’s best known growing regions. Components: Sumatra: Region Dolok Sanggul, Lintong; Producer Multiple producers; Variety Onanganjang, Sigararutang; Milling Wet Hulled. Processed using the wet-hull method, this Sumatran coffee possesses distinctive notes of sweet grapefruit and aromatic wood that are the foundation of Equator Blend. Kenya: Region Aberdare Mts., Mt. Kenya; Producer Multiple producers; Variety SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11; Milling Washed. A fully washed coffee from the Aberdare Mountains in Kenya adds elements of brightness to this blend, complimenting the flavors contributed by its other components. Colombia: Region La Plata, Huila; Producer Las Rosas Women’s Group; Variety Caturra, Castillo; Milling Washed. A fully washed coffee from the Las Rosas Women’s Coffee Project in Colombia further rounds out our namesake blend with delightful notes of milk chocolate and spice. Guatemala: Region Atitlán; Producer Small Holder Farmers; Variety Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra; Milling Washed. The finishing touch of Equator Blend is a fully washed coffee from Guatemalan smallholder farmers, hand-harvested at peak ripeness and carefully processed on open patios. Clean and expressive, it rounds out the blend with a creamy mouthfeel and overall balance.
